Lymphatic Drainage

The lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system, supporting the body in eliminating waste and fighting invaders. This technique is gentle and slow paced tuning into this unique system of the body. Suggested for fluid retention, post surgery or injury, or anytime for a clearing of this system. Please call when booking this technique as there are some contra-indications.
Cranialsacral

The Cranialsacral system is a specific fluid system flowing along the spine from the cranium to the sacrum. This very gentle work supports the body to unwind from tension and stressors that the body stores. This work is clothed and can benefit everyone from babies to our elders.
Integrative

This session brings together all the tools I have learned through my years as a Massage Therapist. With Swedish as the base, the session could include Neuromuscular technique, Energy Medicine, Cranialsacral or/and Lymphatic drainage. The client's needs and concerns guide the session.
Pregnancy/ Postpartum
75-90 min
A woman's whole being goes through tremendous change during the prenatal and post partum time. Supporting her body not only makes for an easier birth but a faster recovery. The sessions are still client centered but safe for the differences that are occurring in each trimester and after labor. In home sessions are available for women on bed rest.

Maya Abdominal Massage is a non-invasive, external massage technique. It supports proper alignment of the reproductive organs and releases restrictions to the flow of blood, lymph, nerve and chi. Uterine displacement and congestion can cause many of our female complaints plus other seemingly unrelated discomforts. This technique is also for men focusing on a similar premise.

For over 20 years, Heather has been supporting and empowering people. Her journey has led her to work with all varieties and needs, from supporting children with Autism, massaging clients with terminal illnesses, to empowering families at home as babies are being born.
Heather holds a B.A. in Psychology and is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist from the Boulder School of Massage Therapy's 1000 hours program. She holds certifications in CranialSacral therapy, Energy medicine, Lymphatic Drainage and Infant Massage Instruction. She is a Certified Massage Doula, which is a 250 hours course emphasizing the pre and post partum period.
Weaved throughout Heather's work is her passion for Natural Medicines. Her studies have taken her on Ethnobotanical adventures to Costa Rico, Guatemala and Belize. While in Belize, she had the honor to become an apprentice to Dr. Rosita Arvigo. There, Heather studied Maya Abdominal Massage, herbs and other traditional Mayan therapies. Her Herbal studies also include time at Tai Sophia, where she studied with many herbalsits, Jim Duke and Simon Mills to name a few; Rosemary Gladstar, Jeanne Rose and Kami McBride are also honored for their teachings.
Heather currently is an apprentice as a Home Birth Midwife. She plans to sit for the medical Boards in 2010. She continues to teach and give back, in honor of her elders who have so graciously taught her.
